FAQ's

How do home EV Chargers work?

The charger links up to your mains electricity and powers your car through a connector cable.

All you need to do is plug your car into the charger and wait for your car to top up.

With home charging you can take advantage of super cheap, green energy overnight.

Should I get a 3.6kW or 7kW EV Charger?

We’d recommend having a 7kW charger fitted if you can, because it will replenish a car’s batteries twice as quickly as a 3.kW unit, which is similar to using a domestic three-pin socket.

Are home EV Chargers safe?

Yes, when correctly installed EV chargers are entirely safe. They come with both software and physical safeguards to make sure you are always protected.

Is it cheaper to charge my electric car at home?

It’s generally cheaper to charge your electric car at home than at a charging station. The average cost for home charging is 32p per kWh and 48p per kWh for a public charging station.
